Lauren (she/her) is licensed as an Associate LPC-MHSP in Tennessee (7629). She received her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lipscomb University, where she developed particular interests in trauma, attachment, and perinatal mental health.
Lauren believes that meaningful therapy begins with feeling genuinely seen, understood, and safe within the therapeutic relationship. Her approach is warm, relational, and collaborative, creating space for clients to explore their experiences with curiosity and better understand the patterns that shape how they relate to themselves and others.
Lauren is particularly passionate about working with women navigating trauma, anxiety, perfectionism, attachment wounds, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. She has a special interest in high-achieving and highly sensitive women, as well as women and couples navigating trying to conceive, pregnancy, postpartum, and parenthood. Her specialized training in perinatal mental health and own experience as a mother have deepened her understanding of the emotional complexity of these seasons of life.
Lauren also enjoys working with clients in Nashville’s music industry. With a personal connection to the industry, she understands the unique pressures and complexities that can come with building a life and career in a creative field. This perspective allows her to offer a space where clients feel understood as they navigate the intersection of their personal and professional lives.
In session, Lauren draws from attachment-based and trauma-informed approaches and may incorporate EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and interpersonal-relational approaches. Her work often explores how past experiences, family-of-origin dynamics, and attachment patterns influence present-day beliefs, relationships, and emotional responses.
Prior to becoming a counselor, Lauren spent ten years working as a hairstylist, an experience that gave her an early appreciation for human connection and creating spaces where people feel comfortable being themselves.
Outside of her work as a therapist, Lauren is a mother of two and shares a lively home with her family, two dogs, and a cat. She enjoys being on the water, interior design, cooking, music and spending time with the people she loves.
